Present
I don't really have any hobbies right now for the simple fact that I don't have extra time after I divide it up between school, work and my boyfriend. But I still have things that I enjoy doing. One thing that I like to do (and I lucked out because my boyfriend likes it too) is fishing. I'm not very good at it and I won't touch the fish but it's always exciting when I can catch something. I like to read and I can sometimes read at work when it gets slow which, not surprisingly, happens a lot (I work in an art gallery). I used to go horseback riding a lot and I am planning on going again soon. That is my favorite thing but I haven't gotten to go in a while so I can't really call it a hobby. Basketball used to be a big part of my life but I just don't have the time for it anymore. I also love swimming and spent some time snorkeling in Hawaii.
I think that I live a pretty fast paced life. I have gone through lots of stuff in my life that people wouldn't even dare do until they're 20+ years old. But I guess that's the way that I like it. I think that you should do stuff when you're too young to know any better. I feel that if you don't, you end up losing courage and then never do anything. Besides you only have one life to live so you might as well fit in as much as you can.
A typical day: A typical day with me would be waking up late for school and having to rush through taking a shower and putting on clothes and make-up. Then when I get to school I sit there trying to soak up as much information as I can until 3:30 p.m. I then have to go change into something dressy and go to work until 9:00 if it's a Thursday, and later if it's a Friday. I don't get to work Mon..- Wed. because the gallery doesn't stay open late enough. After work I spend time with my boyfriend until we can't stay awake any longer. Then I start it all over the next morning.
Teen life in the 90's: I feel that lots of teenagers take things for granted today. I for one do this a lot. I have a hard time imagining what my life would be like if my parents didn't provide me with all the things that they do.
I think that drugs are really ruining our generation and it scares me. I have such a hard time with people who get high and it seems like everyone that I meet does. I don't think that those people that do those drug polls really know how many people get high. If they did, they probably wouldn't even put the results in the magazines and newspapers.
