Probably the most important part of pre-production is the storyboarding phase. Every multimedia project you work on will require a visual plan. The more complex projects also require a "flow chart." (A map of the choices available to the user and an indication of every possible pathway the user may take). It is very important that, for your first interactive narrative project, you keep it simple. (Be prepared for your tech coach to have you re-design your storyboard, if it is not simple enough.)
As the first step toward completion of your project you will create a story board similar to the one below) and submit this to your coach. Your coach will probably send it back with questions and suggestions for revisions. Be patient. A comprehensive, well thought out plan is the best foundation for a successful end product.
