Present
Simple Pleasures: "I walk in the woods nearly everyday. I walked this morning: violets everywhere, trout lilies everywhere, I saw a blue racer, a possum, a raccoon. We had seven deer in our driveway this morning. I also love to fish, fly fishin' especially."
Best thing about Bill's life now: "Kathy (wife), my kids, my dog Bagel, and Psycho my cat...he got expelled from MSU. (there is something wrong at home cause the dog and the cat are in love. They more than tolerate each other.)"
Life now: "I am immensely happy. I feel great. My knees had been giving me some trouble (they are the only part on me I admit to being 81 years old) but I tried this food supplement that regenerates your cartilage and I feel much better. The doctors, who were recommending knee replacement said, 'If you are walking in the woods everyday like you say you are, don't bother (with replacement).'
My wife and I are planning a vacation to Halifax soon."
Bill's hobbies: "I like to write. I have written and given away a book of my poetry: Songs of a Beachcomber. These were Christmas presents distributed at three parishes, Holy Rosary, Flint: St. Johns, Davison: St. Joseph, Howell. I'm adding to this book, Beachcomber Driftwood, one liners and essays plus new poems."
