Major funding for this project
was provided by the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation,
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and the Blue Cross
Blue Shield of Michigan Foundation. The idea for this project
and some of the game's content come from the Ann Arbor Area Community
Foundation's Youth Council and other high school students who desire
to share the benefits of a smoke free lifestyle with their younger
peers. Insite Mentoring Program managed the design, production and
distribution of the CD ROM, Web site and curriculum materials. Web
support and hosting is provided by the Huron Valley Community Network
(www.hvcn.org). The University of Michigan Undergraduate Opportunities
Program provided research and beta testing of the prototype game.
The Theater and Varsity Sports departments of Ypsilanti High School
contributed students for the nonsmoker video testimonies as did
Huron High School's Varsity Lacrosse Team. Students from Wakulla
High School's Drama Department participated as photo subjects for
Poseur characters and contributed all of the game's voices. Some
individuals from the above groups are given special credit below.
